My name is Sandra Mianda and I have been in the payments industry for 12 years. I am the Founder and CEO of Paypr.work, a payments consultancy offering project management, training programmes and marketing strategy services to the merchants, fintech, banking and the wider payments players community.

Years of experience working with large, small, established corporates and Fintechs led me to take the leap in early 2022 and quit the corporate world to set up Paypr.work.

Prior to that, I held a number of commercial roles predominantly working in established payments organisation like Barclays, Paypal and Elavon/ US bank, through which I gained solid foundations in large scale projects payments and expertise in areas such as:

From an academic background, I initially took on some Communications studies in the Netherlands before enrolling onto an Economics curriculum in Brussels, being fascinated by the principle of International Commerce. That led me to the UK in 2006 to pursue a career in Banking… and the rest is history.

I am originally from Congo DRC, however I was raised in Ethiopia (Addis Ababa) before moving to Belgium to pursue my primary education.

I initially completed a BA in Communication before pursuing a Master’s in Economics. During my secondary and early years of my career I spend a great deal of time in New York and Washington DC, where my family still resides.

Drawn by the prospect of a career in Banking, I relocated to the UK over 15 years ago😲... already!

Having started my career in marketing/advertising, I spent my first 4 years working alongside graphists, typesetters, copywriters, leading pan European campaigns involving the coordination and localisation of corporate brochures, PR Kits, commercial campaigns etc for global brands such as Levi’s, Cannon, Lexus etc.

Little did I know that these skills would come handy to blend in with Paypr.work core value mission❤️
